Welcome to The Archive

TLDR: Welcome to The Archive, a blog which is designed to be an archive of both myself as well as a place to record my interests which you may find interesting too. Expect a bit of personal and Roblox related content, but it's not set in stone.

Welcome to The Archive, a blog which is designed to be an archive of both myself as well as a place to record my interests which you may find interesting too.

What’s great is that if you only want to see a specific kind of content from me, you can subscribe via RSS to a specific tag like announcement or just subscribe via RSS to all feeds by clicking the RSS icon.

I’m leaving the options pretty open around here for what I’ll be posting because I don’t want to box myself to how I feel about this interesting project now and later down the road. Although I do have some ideas of what I want to post in the more immediate time.

At least in the immediate, I want to backport some of the content I’ve posted on my Twitter and better archive the kinds of content you’ve expected. Store RDC presentation slides, key details about updates, general Roblox updates that I think serve best in an archive. But also covering updates about me, my life, and the things I enjoy.

There’s something quite nice about having your own small patch of the internet where you can express yourself more freely and in longer terms. Micro-blogging feels like another world to here but maybe I’ll just have a tag for it, quick posts. Hopefully you find here relaxing and can enjoy what I produce.

In the meantime, I’ve decided to make comments available via Mastodon. I do enjoy a healthy discourse and Mastodon feels like the best place for it. It feels less toxic than Twitter, maybe that’s due to the reduced eyes on it.

I’m at that point in my career where I can be more selective with how I spend my energy, I’m not exactly reliant on the community to earn a living. There’s plenty of good out there but it doesn’t feel best to continue as I am. I’ll still be communicating with the community at large but I want to be deliberate and intentional, I should be giving value to the topic every time I reply.

How often I post depends on how quickly I get things done, it’ll take time but as times goes on as and I more use to this medium. When you’ve spent the last 7 years as a micro-blog, you get use to writing something quickly and moving on. This is much slower and I think it’ll be helpful in trying to reduce the grammar errors and be more thoughtful in my posts, is that a guarantee? Strong no.

What you can at least expect is that I’ll be dating these older posts as if they was part of The Archive forever ago, maybe with some corrections and better quality screenshots.

Thank you for getting down to the bottom, do feel absolutely free to send some feedback, if I’ve done my job right there should be some links below to go to the comments or find something else in this weird land, I like to call The Archive. Email works too. /e wave 👋
